We are proud to present our agenda for this year. 
This year, however, there is a change in the VA-NKO. We have decided to adjust to the new schedule of assistant training which means the new membership corresponds to the new academic year: October 2022-October 2023 (and not January-January as in previous years).
​With this, we announce the official start for subscription 2022-2023 (see membership. Registration is possible until 1/1/23. More information in the enclosed letter.

Dear all,
 
First of all, we wish you and your family a happy and healthy 2022. We would also like to inform you that a new VA-NKO team 2022 has been put together. A lot of activities are on our agenda, we are already looking forward to it. Below is a sneak peek at our calendar:
 
- Temporal bone drilling contest B-ORL (Deadline postponed - information will follow)

- VA-NKO courses (FESS, facial plastics, Basic drill course and BOT course)
- Graduation Meeting (April-May 2022)

This Spring, VA-NKO organized the "Surgical Spring Courses". Four hands-on surgical courses will be organized in the skills lab of the European Institute for ORL-HNS of the Sint-Augustinus hospital in Antwerp. Belgian ENT residents who are member of VA-NKO were informed by mail, and the course was fully booked in less than 24h!

 -  FESS course 29/05/2021
-   Facial Plastics course 19/06/2021
-   Mini Bony Obliteration Tympanoplasty course 26/06/2021
-   Introduction course for Temporal Bone Dissection 03/07/2021

During these practical workshops 11 participants will receive a fresh frozen cadaver head to individually perform as much as possible on their own pace. Each course will be preceded by a brief theoretical presentation or referral to a practical guide shortly before the course. 

The equipment during the course will be provided by Storz and Medtronic. 

We look forward to seeing the participants!

The yearly “Mini-orencursus” for ENT residents, that is organized alternating in Nijmegen and Leuven, will this year take place in Leuven from April 15th until 17th 2020. Registration for this course will end in January.

Practical workshop in which every of the 11 participants receives a fresh frozen cadaver head (both sides). The goal is to individually perform as much as possible on your own pace (uncinectomy, antrostomy, anterior/posterior ethmoidectomy, sphenoidotomy, frontotomy, search for arteries, endoscopic DCR, DRAF IIB and DRAF III,...). Prepare yourself, the course is intended as a practical session with individual guidance of the teachers.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the final program of the two-day iBEDSMA scientific symposium that will be held on Friday 13, and Saturday 14 September, 2019, in Knokke.
 
Please do find attached the scientific program and note that accreditation for both medical doctors and specialists, and, for dentists has been requested at RIZIV/INAMI. The whole program on both days was submitted for accreditation in Ethics and Economics.
 
For the first time, iBEDSMA also launches a “Call for Abstracts” for oral presentations or poster presentations during the conference. The instructions for the abstracts are attached.
