This symposium aims to discuss and clarify the interdisciplinary approach for patients with a peripheral facial paralysis.
Several questions will be answered in the morning, concerning the management in the acute setting, when to refer the patient, electrodiagnostics, staging of the paralysis, treatment with mime therapy, botulinum toxine or surgery, and tips and tricks for the patient and his family. This will be followed by a practical workshop in the afternoon. Using videocases, some revalidation skills are trained and treatment options are discussed.
Target audience: medical doctors (general practitioners, otorhinolaryngologists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, rehabilitation specialists, etc.) and paramedics (speech therapists and physiotherapists).

"The right decision at the right time" in the management of otologic diseases.
20-21 January 2017
In January 2014 the first edition of the Otology Class for young ENT’s was held in Amsterdam, then in 2015 it was hosted by Madrid, now in 2017 Antwerp takes over. The purpose of this course is to offer young ENT-doctors thorough education about the principles in otology on an international level, close to home and affordable in price.
The main goal is to discuss a variety of otologic topics in a friendly and interactive setting.
